Lily didn’t think about the draw Llyn Barfog, a lake in Wales, had to her, but still the husky returned there, year after year, at first with her family. Then the husky keeps going back on her holidays and long weekends, even when she has moved far away.

Her friend, Afanc, is one reason to return, of course. The hybrid has beaver-like and crocodilian features, but she is sure that is not his name – for \
