Dr. Mikel Harry is currently. President and Chief Executive Officer of the Six Sigma Academy, Inc. As such, he is responsible for leading the implementation and deployment of Six Sigma within client corporations. As one of the original architects of Six Sigma; his activity is aimed at the creation. of world-elass levels ef’ improvement in product quality, performancêe, cycle, time, and cost. Ir addition to this role, he is on the board-of-directors of the International Statistical Applications Institute, USÁ in received the B.S, degree ip Industrial Technology (Electronics) from Ball State University’ \n \nPrior to his current assignment, he served ds Corporate Vice Presttienf, Guality Systems Deployment, Asea Brown Boveri, Ltd. (ABB). In addition, he founded the Six Sigma Research Institute at Motorola, Inc. and served as Corporate Director and Senior Member of Technical Staff. In these positions, he was responsible for the development of Six Sigma implementation strategy, deployment guidelines and advanced application tools. Dr. Harry also served as an Associate Member of Motorola’s Science Advisory Board (SABA), as well as the Scientific and Technical Society at the Government Electronics Group, Scottsdale, Arizona. Before this, he held the position of Principal Staff Engineer within the Advanc itati Research Laboratory.\n \nDr. Harry has over 50 major technical publications to his credit. Hie appeared in such journals as IEEE, Micro and Circuit World, Journal or cire Technology. His work has been used by such noted institutions as Stanford University, Motorola, Texas Instruments, Unisys, IBM, Rockwell, Kodak, and the Department of Defense, as well as many others. For outstanding technical contribution to industry, he received the President’s Award from IPC at the 1990 An al Conference.
